PhD Scholarship: Victoria Energy Policy Centre Research Program

$30,000 per annum

The Victoria Energy Policy Centre (VEPC) research program is focused on three areas::

  • Wholesale energy markets and renewable energy policy: We focus on economic analysis of state and federal policies for the reduction of emissions in the electricity sector.

  • Retail markets: We focus on the application of data science and econometric techniques to quantify and assess relevant issues including search costs, price discrimination, policy development and monitoring.

  • The economics of energy storage: We focus on the economics of the demand and supply of storage (and its substitutes) in behind-the-meter and grid-connected applications.

Applications are invited for two PhD positions at VEPC to undertake research related to one VEPC’s focus areas.
